The most paradigmatic work of the synesthetic group is the video This is Art, in which, what they call synesthetic de- dramatization, reveals itself in all its provocative and disconcerting potential and final ironic. The video records a performance that, in a kind of speculating game, is a display of a representation or the unraveling of representational strategies.
Ever since their foundational manifesto, the Gruppo Sinestetico informs us about their ludic, debunking intent. The paradoxical feature of their proposal reveals itself in the name of the group given that there it can be noticed that “synesthetic” implies a production imbedded in the synesthesia but also in a work without aesthetics or, even more, in a no- aesthetics.
