Public presentation of workshop results: September 17, 16:00-19:00

The workshop at the Art Academy in Sofia will be based on one of the latest works by the theatre Express Fight Club, which is an interactive performance-installation. At the beginning of the workshop, the two presenters will discuss theory of drama, digitalizing of space, creation of space through sound and sound design, in order to introduce the audience to the nature of the project. The participants will later be divided into three groups of five members and will interpret the Express Fight Club project within their teams. The presenters will cooperate with the teams, providing assistance in script writing, filming, sound design, animation etc. There will be a public presentation of the teams’ products, created during the workshop.

post theater is an interdisciplinary performing arts unit without an ensemble. Projects range from theater to dance, multi-media performances to installations. post theater's works are often either installation-based or site-specific. Re-occurring themes are identity and technology.  post theater was founded 1999 in New York, moved its headquarter to Berlin in 2002 and opened a Tokyo branch in 2005.  post theater has presented more than 50 works at festivals and arts institutions in more than 40 cities in 20 countries. Hiroko Tanahashi and Max Schumacher are the artistic co-directors. In addition to its artistic work, post theater has been giving lectures and workshops at art institutions and universities world-wide.
